Passly includes artificial intelligence features to design invitations, write text and import guest lists. This page explains, feature by feature, what is sent, to whom, what we receive and what controls we apply. It complies with the transparency obligations of the European Artificial Intelligence Act (Art. 50) insofar as they apply to Passly.
Principles: AI only acts when you use it; we send the minimum necessary; features involving personal data use a provider that, according to its terms, does not train on its API customers' data; Passly does not train models on your content or your guests' data; and you review everything before publishing it.
1. What each feature does
| Feature | What is sent | Provider | What we store |
|---|---|---|---|
| Import guests from photos, screenshots or text | The images or text you upload (they may contain names, phone numbers and emails). | Anthropic | Only the list that you confirm. The images are not stored and the result is not cached. |
| Generate a complete invitation or design | Your instruction, the event details (type, date, names, venue), your reference photos and the content of any reference pages you specify. | Anthropic | The resulting design in your event and a technical history (first 500 characters of the instruction, model and usage). |
| Redesign or create a block | The block's current content and your instruction. | Anthropic | The resulting block; you can undo it. |
| Design styles and compositions | Only pure design instructions without personal data (styles, palettes, layouts). By default every request goes to Anthropic; none containing your event details, your guests or your photos reaches Moonshot. | Moonshot AI (Kimi) | The resulting style. |
| Voice dictation | The recording of your voice note. | Groq (fallback: OpenAI) | Only the transcribed text you use; the audio is not stored. |
2. Providers and use of data
The providers process the data as Passly's processors in order to return the result and, according to their terms, retain it for a limited time for security and abuse prevention. According to their commercial terms, Anthropic, Groq and OpenAI do not use their API customers' data to train their models. We do not send personal data to Moonshot AI. The location and safeguards of each one are in Sub-processors.
AI results that do not contain guest data are cached for a maximum of 30 days so that we do not charge you twice for the same result.
3. Transparency and control
- Whatever the AI generates or redesigns appears in the editor as a proposal: you review it, edit it or undo it, and it is only published when you publish the invitation.
- No AI feature makes decisions about people: they propose content that you accept, edit or discard.
- We do not use facial recognition, emotion recognition or biometric categorization.
- Before using a feature you see how many credits it uses.
- You can choose not to use AI at all: all of Passly's essential features work without it.
4. Limitations and your responsibility
AI can make mistakes or produce results similar to those of other people. Check names, dates, addresses and text before publishing. Do not upload data you do not have the right to use, and do not use it to create misleading content about real people (Acceptable Use).
